Crane Rail
Crane rails play a crucial role in the rail industry, distinct from transport rails due to their specialized design. Over time, their shape has evolved to meet the demanding performance needs of crane operations. These rails must withstand significant transverse loads, leading to wide bases and thick webs for added stability. Many profiles also feature flat heads to accommodate heavy wheel loads.
Profiles
American
We stock a large selection of American crane rails ranging from 104 to 175 lb/yd, which are cut and drilled as needed for your runway. Splice bars, hook bolts and rail clips are fabricated to specification for your project. We also partner with Molyneux and Gantrex to supply a wide variety of adjustable rail clips for bolting and welding.

Profiles
European
European crane rails are specially designed rails used in industrial and heavy-duty crane applications across Europe. They feature a range of standardized profiles, such as A-series rails (e.g., A45, A75, A120), engineered for high load-bearing capacity and durability. These rails typically have wide bases and thick webs to withstand heavy transverse forces and support large wheel loads.
